About Me!
Hi there! I am thrilled that you've stopped by.
I'm Kara, the girl behind Kara Hutchinson Photo! In 2009, I married the boy I picked out for myself when I was 3, Houston, & I am mama to three precious little girls, Afton (6, going on 30) & Quinn (4), and Mazie (1), as well as our mini schnauzer pup, Pepper. I love getting to spend this part of my life at home with them. They are just the best.
I graduated from nursing school in 2010 & worked as an RN until December 2019 when I decided to stay home with my babies and pursue some creative outlets.
During college, I used money I had saved to buy my first camera and lens & took photos nearly everyday. I used photography as an outlet to get outside & enjoy something besides the inside of my anatomy textbook - I had a dream in the back of my mind that one day, I would take photos for people to cherish.
I hope I have the opportunity to make that happen for you! I love documenting life through a lens, & I especially love taking family portraits and engagement sessions.
